Meet Mrs. Pocta!
Jamie Pocta is a Mechanicsville native and graduated from Atlee. She went to Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree and then William and Mary for her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Pocta taught first grade for three years in Henrico county before coming “home” to teach in Hanover! She is very excited to start her sixth year of teaching and third year at Laurel Meadow working with the wonderful school faculty and community! She lives in Mechanicsville with her husband, Kevin. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, Virginia Tech football, going to the beach, exercising, and shopping. She is looking forward to another great year with her fourth graders!
